Xiaomi is very well known for releasing great performing cellphones, but for a considerable lower price when compared to other companies. Even if its devices can’t be considered as market flagships, they are the best in what quality / price refers.
I was particularly surprised when they released the Mi9T, a model that included some of the newest technologies. In fact, they decided to eliminate the infamous notch and to add instead a wonderful pop-up camera.
The Chinese manufacturer decided to integrate the Snapdragon 730, which is not the best current processor of the market, but definitely guarantees a satisfying user experience in a daily basis. It includes a 6GB RAM.
For gamers or more demanding users, it might be better to acquire the Mi9T Pro, as it includes certain upgrades, for a higher price.
The Mi9T has a 4000mAH battery, which works perfectly fine under a regular use, but might not be sufficient in case of using more resources. It is also important to know that the box includes 18W fast charging.
The device includes a really comfortable fingerprint screen sensor, which allows you unlock it quickly. The face recognition system has also been implemented to it. However, the face recognition is integrated in the pop-up camera, which leads us to activate it every time before unlocking the cellphone.
This model includes a sole speaker that delivers a good quality audio. The greatest detail is that Xiaomi decided to put a headphone jack, going against the current policies of most companies. This fact can be particularly interesting for those who are looking not to give up on some of the most traditional features.
The device has an AMOLED display of 6,39 inches. Even if most of the screen characteristics are identical to its predecessor, the Mi9T does not count with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection, including instead the Gorilla Glass 5.
On the back of the device, we can find a triple-set camera, including a main camera of 48MP. The general experience is all right, considering that the best cameras are displayed in the market flagships. However, we have to appreciate what Xiaomi has accomplished in this area, as they are selling a great device for a very low price.
The pop-up selfie camera should not present any problem, even if a loss of quality can be seen depending on the distance from which the picture is taken.
Finally, some words must be dedicated to MIUI, which is Xiaomi’s famous firmware base on Android. In fact, the included personalization is very well done, and usually gives a very satisfying experience.
I myself am more of a fan of OxygenOS, OnePlus’ firmware, which I consider is the best one of the market, but MIUI has only a few things to envy.
